GRP guardrails offer a high corrosion resistance and easy installation alternative to guardrails made of conventional steel material. They consist of pultruded GRP-profiles acc. EN 13706. They are designed for outside application with superior UV-resistance and stability. GRP-guardrails are available in both colours yellow ~ RAL 1018 and grey ~RAL 7032.
MEISER keeps the so called EBA permission (EBA = legal authority of German Railways) for all related GRP- products acc. TM 2010-354 I.NVT 4 (TM = technical memorandum).
Consequently all products can be used in typical applications like walkways, platforms & escape routes.
The GRP standard guardrail acc. DIN EN ISO 14122-3 consists of an ergonomically formed handrail, kneerail (optionally simple or double type) and kickplate. Depending on statical requirements the posts are designed as 50x50 mm or 60x60 mm squaretubes. Connectors for handrail, kneerail(s) & kickplate are part of the scope of delivery.
The connection to the subconstruction can be done laterally screwed or with special post feet made of GRP or galvanized/stainless steel material.
The GRP-roundtube guardrail mainly consists of a 50 mm GRP-round tube. Special GRP-fittings which are glued and riveted with the round tubes allow for the typical connection details.
The GRP-roundtube guardrail has a perfect design for a “plug in”- guardrail.
Optionally, it can be fixed to the subconstruction using post feet made of GRP.
Optionally MEISER is able to provide a crossbar guardrail. This type of guardrail offers an increased safety against climbing and throughfalling. Analog to the standard guardrail, post dimensions of 50x50 mm and 60x60 mm squaretube types are available. Crossbars are typically made from GRP-roundtubes d=30 mm.
