Continuous Strip Galvanizing

Efficient corrosion protection for standardised steel products

In the continuous strip galvanizing process, slit steel strip is continuously coated with zinc, producing a uniform protective layer over the entire material. Manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 10346, strip galvanizing offers a cost-effective corrosion protection solution for standard products operating under normal service conditions.

Only slit steel strip is processed on our strip galvanizing line.
The finished material is primarily used for:

* Earthing strips
* Barrel hoops
* Wind bracing straps
* Stamped and formed components

Technical Data

Strip width: von 16 mm – 100 mm

Strip thickness: von 1,5 mm – 6 mm

Zinc coatings: Z-150; Z-225; Z-300; Z-500

Supply forms: coils, rings and bars

Standard bar lengths: 300 – 6.000 mm – Other lengths available on request.

Length tolerance: +/-1 mm

Zinc Coating Options – Fully galvanized on all four edges (DVV standard)

Z-150

For applications requiring excellent formability, including manually or machine-formed profiles, structural components and gutter brackets.

Z-225

Standard corrosion protection for general forming applications such as brackets, angle profiles, U-profiles with large bending radii, barrel hoops and similar products.

Z-300 & Z-500

For applications requiring enhanced corrosion protection, such as lightning protection and earthing systems, where reduced formability is acceptable.

MEISER has operated the strip galvanizing line in St. Ingbert since 1997.

Following an extensive three-year modernization programme completed in 2002, the facility now operates as a fully automated, environmentally responsible production line meeting the highest quality standards.

Among other products, it supplies galvanized strip steel for the manufacture of premium barrel hoops used in French barrique production. Compared with batch galvanizing, strip galvanizing offers a more economical solution while providing reliable corrosion protection for standard applications where extreme mechanical loads or particularly aggressive environments are not expected.

For many applications, strip galvanizing represents the ideal balance of corrosion protection, production efficiency, consistent quality and cost-effectiveness.
