New leading-edge system for steps
MEISER has decided to change the standard steps with the previous 45 mm leading edge to a 70 mm leading edge (analogous to the Austrian standard).
MEISER has introduced a new standard step design, replacing the previous 45 mm leading edge with a 70 mm leading edge, in line with the Austrian standard.
The new 70 mm leading edge offers several key advantages. It significantly increases the load-bearing capacity of the steps without requiring any changes to the dimensions of the bearing bars. In addition, the larger leading edge reduces the clear opening between individual steps in accordance with DIN 18065. As a result, an additional welded toe plate on the rear edge of the step is no longer required in many applications.
The transition from the 45 mm to the new 70 mm leading edge will take place gradually. Once existing stocks of the 45 mm version have been exhausted, all newly manufactured standard steps will be produced exclusively with the optimised 70 mm leading edge.
For each order, we will ensure that all steps of the same dimensions are supplied with the same leading-edge design. During the transition period, however, orders containing different step dimensions may include both versions, depending on stock availability.
