In the early 1990s the main focus for MEISER is on further internationalisation and the development of the European market. The market in the Netherlands also plays an important role in this. The search for a competent and trustworthy sales partner finally brings Edmund Meiser and Ruud Enzlin together. This contact is mediated by Mr Frans Louwers, a long-term friend of Edmund Meiser.
After brief consultations, the firm RST MEISER NEDERLAND B.V. is founded in 1994. Ruud Enzlin becomes the Managing Partner of RST MEISER with equal rights. After just five months the first large order for 7,000 m² press locked grating is obtained. In the following years the customer base is continually expanded, so that today the Netherlands is one of the most important sales markets for MEISER in Europe. Even 21 years after its establishment, the RST MEISER team has lost nothing of its enthusiasm and commitment. Under the management of Ruud and Jana Enzlin it is possible to acquire many large projects in spite of strong national competition, such as a consignment for Terminal 5 at London's Heathrow Airport.
Personal contacts of Ruud Enzlin in the ballast business help RST MEISER to establish a second string to their bow. 800 tonnes of cut-to-size counterweights for one of the largest lock doors in Europe in Wilhelmshaven is impressive proof of this.
